Kubb or Viking Chess is a skill game with strategic elements. It symbolizes a battle in which two enemy groups fight for their king. Whoever defeated the enemy king won the battle. It is not about gaining space or filling certain points on the field, but about beating the opposing fighters. As with the real battle, the picture on the field changes again and again. The game is played on a manageable field in which there are no tactical landscape advantages for a party.
