The first Kubb or Viking chess competition in Germany is to be held in 2002 by Kubbsport e.V. Berlin in front of the Reichstag. The German Kubb Masters have been held annually since then. In the Netherlands the Dutch Open have been held once a year since 2002. The first Swisskubb Challenge Kubbturnier in Switzerland was held on May 29, 2004 in Murten. Kubb or Viking chess is now played all over the world. The individual portals on kubbwiki.de show where further Kubb strongholds can be found.
